About Mike Morford
AbJack Entertainment founder Mike Morford, or ‘Morf’ as many people know him, left behind a career in sales in order to pursue one in creating true crime content.
Growing up, Mike was a big fan of the show Unsolved Mysteries, and joined several online forums focused on various true crime content, eventually creating one of the largest Zodiac Killer forums on the net.
In 2017, Mike launched a true crime blog called TrueCrimeGuy.com. It was when Mike appeared as a guest on multiple episodes of the podcast Generation Why that he found a new passion - podcasts. Mike co-created and hosted the podcast, Criminology in 2017. Criminology produced the most in-depth podcast coverage ever created up to that point on two major cases.
In season 1, Criminology covered the infamous Zodiac Killer case. In season 2, they presented the ultimate deep dive into America’s worst serial predator; the Golden State Killer. Mike forged close relationships with investigators and survivors in the case in an effort to bring the story to the masses. It was in the middle of season 2 that the Golden State Killer was identified and arrested. Mike was the first person to share news of the arrest with the world, resulting in the announcement going viral on social media.
The result was Criminology being featured in multiple magazines, including Time. Criminology has also been featured on the Oxygen true crime network and received mentions in several magazines and news outlets including Vulture and Marie Claire.
Following the success of the first two seasons of Criminology, Mike co-authored and published books on both seasons.
Mike went on to create The Murder in My Family in 2018. A true passion project and labor of love, TMIMF provides a platform to family members of murder victims so that they can honor the memories of their loved ones and share their stories in a way that you don’t see from blurbs in news stories. TMIMF has been featured in several magazines including, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire.
In between creating and hosting podcasts, Mike has also appeared in or worked on various TV productions including A&E’s The Hunt for the Zodiac Killer, Investigation Discovery’s The Golden State Killer: It’s Not Over, and Oxygen’s The DNA of Murder with Paul Holes.
Mike appears in person across the country alongside his peers and friends in the true crime world at gatherings and events, including the annual Crimecon true crime convention.
New Jersey-born and raised, Mike now makes his home in Southwest Florida with his family and continues to develop, create, and present quality indie content.
