Episode 70 Marie Mueller
43 year old mother of two, Marie Beula Mueller vanished in Frontenac, Missouri in March, 1972 during a messy separation and divorce from her husband, Dr. Donn W. Mueller, D.O
Dr. Mueller claimed that after returning home one day, he found his young chidlren home alone, and his estranged wife was missing although her car was still in the driveway. Dr. Mueller did not report Marie missing immediately and when he finally did, he claimed that she had taken a large sum of cash and jewelry with her. In the aftermath of Marie's disappearance, Dr. Mueller told his kids that their mom abandoned them, and went on with life as usual. But a string of witnesses came forward to tell police troubling details about Dr. Mueller in the time leading up to his wife going missing; details that included fraud, and discussion of how to murder his wife and dispose of her body to cover up the crime.
Episode 69 Judith Anne Brown
In 1977, 19 year-old Judith Anne Brown, who went by Judy was trying to improve her mental health situation. college student, and lifelong New York resident, Judy stayed behind when most of her family moved out of state to Kansas. It was after her family moved away, that Judy, who had suffered with OCD and depression, began to struggle with her mental health. Wanting to get help, she voluntarily checked herself into Creedmoor Hospital hoping to improve her situation. It was there that Judy crossed paths with another patient named Richard Riesenberg and began dating him. He was committed for the brutal 1971 murders of his wife and young son. Despite the murders he committed, he was able to come and go from the facility. Judy was transferred to another hospital and eventually discharged. In April,1977, Richard Riesenberg found out he was going to be transferred to another facility where he would no longer be free to come and go. Before that could happen, he walked away from Creedmoor hospital, and vanished. It was soon discovered that Judy was missing too
Episode 68 Patricia Otto
1976 was a trying time for 24 Year-Old wife & mother of 2, Patricia Lee Otto, or Patty as she went by. She had endured a very rocky relationship with her husband Ralph and the couple had broken up with plans of divorcing. Patty was working on a future without Ralph in he life and trying to provide a stable enviornment for her daughters. She was going to school, and during her split from Ralph, Patty even started dating a friend from her past. Somehow though, Patty reconciled with Ralph and decided to give the relationship another try. In early September, 1976, Ralph found out that Patty had dated someone during their time apart and was furious. In an angry, drunken range, he searched out the man Patty had dated intending to confront him gun in hand. He didn't find him and returned home where he confronted Patty leading to a violent argument. The couple's young daughters recalled seeing the argument get physical and before they knew it, Patty was missing.
The next day, Ralph told his children that their mother had left them and didn't want to be a mom any longer.
