On July 21st 2020 Zachariah Juwaun Shorty was hanging out with some friends and making music. Zach had an important court date and his mom, Vangie Randall Shorty was reminding him not to miss it. She heard from him around 3 pm as he called using another phone to ask her to bring him a charger. Vangie brought the charger and offered to take Zach to her house. He said he wasn't ready. She promised to call after work to see if he was ready then. This would be the last time Vangie heard from Zach again.
